How do I get to Golden?

Calgary Airport (YYC) - 2.5 hours from Golden on TransCanada Highway #1 (west).

Kelowna Airport (YLW) - 4.5 hours from Golden on TransCanada Highway #1 (east).

Kalispell, Montana (FCA) - 5.5 hours from Golden on US & BC Highways 93 & 95 (north).

Spokane, Washington (GEG) - 6.5 hours from Golden on US & BC Highway 95 (north).

Edmonton Airport (YEG) - 5.5 hours from Golden on TransCanada Highway #1 (west).

Vancouver Airport (YVR) - 8 hours from Golden on TransCanada Highway #1 (east).

Registration, Race Package Pick-up, Race Start (Friday)

1500 Kicking Horse Trail (Kicking Horse Mountain Resort Yurt) - Located adjacent to the Kicking Horse General Store.  Closest parking lot is the first lot on the left when you arrive at the resort (before the hotels).


Start / Finish (Saturday & Sunday only)

Spirit Square (located behind Higher Ground Sports, off 9th Avenue N.)  Access via alleyway between Higher Ground sport shop & Rockwater Bar & Grill.

A special note on parking: There is NO PARKING beside the start line.  Please plan to walk approximately 200-400m to the start area. We recommend that you park at the CP Rail Parking Lot (across from 7-11 on 10th Ave / Highway 95) or in the Parking lot on Park Drive.  Both are within 400m of the start/finish line.


Registration and Race Package Pick-up (Thursday)

623 8th Ave N, Golden (Whitetooth Brewery) - We'll have package pickup set up in a giant truck in the parking lot. Then head inside for a brew and to meet other runners.


Driving to Golden?

Summer is Canada's favourite month for road construction and there are major upgrades planned for the TransCanada Highway both east and west of Golden. Please check DriveBC for updates on road construction and delays and plan your trip accordingly. 


The shuttle service from Calgary to Golden varies by season.  We recommend that you rent a car so that you can see some sights along the way.  You may also post requests for carpooling on our Facebook event page or via RideShare.
