Sweat - 60 km
"The Sweat" is the second day of the Golden Ultra. This is the queen stage with the most vertical and the best single track. You'll be covering just less than 60 km of distance, 2500 m of elevation, and one giant loop.
Called the "aesthetic line on the mountain" this course is devilishly tough but also stunningly beautiful, with more than 15 km of ridge running.

Other Important Information
We will deliver drop bags for runners to all aid station locations on the Sweat (60 km) course. Drop bags must be clearly labelled with the runner name, bib # and aid station to which it should be delivered. Bags must be dropped off to the registration area before 8:00 pm on Friday (Aid Stations 1 & 2) or before start on Saturday (Aid Stations 3 and 4). Aid Station volunteers will lay out the bags on the ground at the aid station and runners will have to find their own bags. We will also return bags (and any items left at aid stations) to the start/finish line at the end of the day.
Support crew must have a pass (purchase information above) to access the course on event day. Crew without a pass may be denied access. This is enforced to reduce traffic and hazards on the event route.

Pacers were not permitted in 2017. This is because of our emergency response plan and abilities to respond to and track "unknown" runners on course. This decision may be revisited in future years, pending demand. The support crew pass guarantees your crew access to all aid stations and we encourage you use that opportunity for event-time support.
A mandatory gear list will be posted on the news page up to a month prior to the event. Mandatory gear may include:
- Hat and gloves

- Cell phone
- Bear Spray
