The Golden Ultra is offering an accommodation and food package to all participants.  The package was motivated by the organizers’ desire to reduce the learning curve for runners who may not already be familiar with food and accommodation opportunities within Golden... and reduce their travel stress.

Accommodations will be provided by Kicking Horse Lodging and located at the base of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, metres from the start line of the Blood and the Friday evening dinner.  Single and double occupancy options are available in the well-appointed resort rooms.  The double occupancy option will room you with another runner that has also purchased the double occupancy package (request a roommate by emailing registration@goldenultra.com),  Crew and family members may also purchase the meals & accommodation package.

Meals will be provided by Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and Kicking Thyme Catering.  Kicking Horse Mountain Resort will provide the Friday evening dinner at the Whitetooth Grill.  The skills of the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort culinary team can be sampled at the top quality Eagle’s Eye Restaurant.  The resort caters more than 80 weddings annually, for good reason!

The Saturday evening meal will be catered by Kicking Thyme Catering and be served up at the Golden Civic Centre, nearby the day’s finish line, awards and the free live concert.  Kicking Thyme Catering are providing a menu that features local and organic produce and meats.  Watch for profiles here on the farms from where the food is sourced over the summer months.

Breakfast both mornings will be at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort – just a short crawl from the accommodations.  Breakfasts will include all desired food groups and be plentiful for a day of running.

Golden Ultra organizers are promising to meet any dietary requirements so long as they’re notified a minimum of 1 month prior to the event.  All meals will have vegetarian and gluten free options as a standard choice.  Please email all dietary requests to registration@goldenultra.com
